KTVH anchor and reporter Dennis Carlson of Helena died Friday after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last spring, the TV station announced. He was 58.
“We will remember Dennis as an incredible journalist, a wonderful mentor, a trusted colleague and friend,” the announcement says.
Carlson spent most of his career in broadcasting and has been reporting in Helena for four years, according to his biography on the TV station’s website. He covered crime and courts and anchored the 5 p.m. show on KTVH Monday through Friday.
He leaves behind his fiancée Laura Boltz and his children.
