The Lewis and Clark County Elections Office on Monday mailed out more than 30,000 ballots to voters in the Helena Elementary School District. The ballot includes the race for two trustees for the Helena Elementary/High School District board as well as the Helena Elementary School bond election.
Voters who live in the Tri-Lakes Fire Service Area will also see a contest for the Fire Service Area’s Board of Trustees on their ballot.
Ballots were mailed to all registered voters with an active registration status in the Helena Elementary School District and to all eligible voters in the Tri-Lakes Fire Service Area. If you do not receive your ballot by the end of the week, contact the elections office at 406-447-8339. You can also check your voting status online at www.MyVoterPageMT.com.
Voted ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, May 2. Postmarks are not accepted, so be sure to mail your ballot ahead of Election Day, or drop off your ballot in person at the May Butler Center or County Elections Office.
The Helena school District election is being conducted separately from the East Helena school District election, the Lincoln Fire District election, and the federal special election to select Montana’s U.S. representative. Ballots for the East Helena school District and Lincoln Fire District elections were mailed out last week, and ballots for the federal special election will be mailed out the first week in May.
