East Helena residents can expect mail-in election ballots for 2019 school board election to arrive in their mailboxes over the next few days as the East Helena school district just sent them out.
On the ballot are two three-year and one one-year board positions. Board chair Scott Walter, trustee Marcia Ellermeyer and newcomer Wesley Feist are competing for the three-year terms. Trustee Martin Balukas also will appear on the ballot for a one-year term to fill out the remainder of the term for the seat he was appointed to.

District Clerk Kim Aarstad said ballots will be accepted until 8 p.m. May 7 and, if not mailed in time, can be dropped off at the district, 226 E. Clinton St.
Both trustee elections will appear on the same ballot. Aarstad said there were no interested write-in candidates for this year's election.
