Helena police make arrest in graffiti spree

  • 0

Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy who was allegedly involved in a graffiti spree that caused about $4,000 worth of damage.

The boy faces a felony charge of criminal mischief and is being held at the Great Falls Juvenile Detention Center.

An investigation continues into the March 3 vandalisms in which 20 vehicles and 21 buildings were spray painted and additional suspects may be charged, according to Lt. Steve Hagen.

The boy was taken into custody March 8. Hagen said a delay in the release of arrest was needed to not compromise the investigation.

The graffiti was mostly found on the lower west side of Helena, but some locations on the east side were hit as well.
