Lewis and Clark County mailed 27,200 ballots Friday to registered absentee voters ahead of next month’s general election.

Registered voters can still request absentee ballots from the county until Nov. 5 at noon. Regular registration for the Nov. 6 election closed Tuesday, but late registration is available at the City-County Building at 316 N. Park Ave. in Helena until polls close on Election Day at 8 p.m.

The county noted in a Friday press release that late registration will be closed briefly between noon and 5 p.m. on Nov. 5.

With the exception of Dearborn, all Lewis and Clark polling stations open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day. The Dearborn polling station opens at noon.
