Forbes has named Carroll College as the best college in Montana.

On its list of “The Best College in Every State," Forbes described Carroll College as “a small, private, Catholic liberal arts college up 4,000 feet in the mountains of Helena, Montana’s capital city."

"On a campus only minutes away from campgrounds, ski areas, and Canyon Ferry Lake, Carroll’s academics mirror its natural environment. With flagship programs in biology, as well as in civil engineering, nursing, and mathematics, Carroll’s undergrads have discovered more than 10 new species and consistently post an 85 percent acceptance rate to medical and dental schools. The school’s 1,400 students, about half of which come from out-of-state, are known for their Talking Saints forensics team (Northwest Regional winners for 25 consecutive years) and their Fighting Saints football team (six-time NAIA National champions)," Forbes wrote.

“We are always pleased when we are formally recognized as a top tier college, whether it be nationally, regionally or in Montana,” said Carroll president Tom Evans, in a written statement.

“Carroll’s success is a reflection of the hard work and accomplishments of all those that make up our campus community. From our talented and devoted faculty and staff, to our bright, industrious students, Carroll is the sum of these parts. We are extremely proud of the educational experience we provide and the quality and character of not just the student, but also the person, who graduates from Carroll," he continued.
