A 45-year-old Oregon woman is accused of embezzling over $16,000 from a Helena-area company.
Traci Michelle LeBoutillier is being charged with theft by embezzlement, a felony.
On Aug. 18, 2017, officers took a report from a Helena business about embezzlement. Court documents state LeBoutillier had been a bookkeeper for the establishment and had been using the business’ account at a Helena bank to pay for her personal vehicle insurance, garbage service and utilities services, along with payments to other businesses in the area.
The alleged embezzlement had gone on since 2014 and totaled over $16,000. LeBoutillier was taken into custody in Lewis and Clark County on May 14.
