A 29-year-old Helena woman is accused of passing nearly $2,000 in forged checks.
Denise Keen is being charged with theft and forgery, both felonies.
On Nov. 9, officers were alerted to a number of forged checks in Helena. Using surveillance stills, officers identified Denise Keen as passing the majority of the checks, according to court documents.
On Nov. 14, Helena police learned the Keen had been arrested in Butte on an unrelated warrant. Keen spoke with a Butte-Silver Bow detective and admitted to forging the checks, according to court documents.
