  • At 9:35 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center for a report of a female there with a valid arrest warrant. The 18-year-old East Helena woman was arrested for the warrant and booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 10:04 a.m., a school resource officer responded to the 1300 block of Billings for a report of a juvenile trespassing at the school. The juvenile was later located and cited for trespassing. She was referred to Juvenile Probation.
  • At 11:02 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Aspen for a report of a theft. The case is active.
  • At 11:06 a.m., an officer responded to the Law Enforcement Center for a report of fraudulent activity. The case is active.
  • At 11:34 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 10 block of Reeder’s Village for a report of a theft. The case is active.  
  • At 1:22 p.m., an officer was dispatched the 900 block of Hialeah for a report of a missing person. The 49-year-old Helena area male that was reported missing, was located a short time later. The male had valid warrants for his arrest; he was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. He was arrested for the warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 1:37 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of Montana Avenue for a report of a cold shoplift. The case is active.
  • At 1:52 p.m., an officer responded to the 3100 block of Montana Avenue for a report of a theft of a license plate.
  • At 2:14 p.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of S California for a report of a theft.

  • At 7:08 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Prospect for a report of an intoxicated male driving in the parking lot. The male was located and identified. The male demonstrated signs of impairment which prompted a DUI investigation. The 27-year-old Great Falls male was arrested for DUI and Aggravated DUI. He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 11:38 p.m., an officer responded to the 1100 block of Enterprise for a report of suspicious activity. It was reported two males forced another male into a vehicle and left the area. The males were later located and it was determined nothing criminal occurred. 

The Helena Police Department responded to 96 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to four vehicle crashes, seven welfare checks, three trespassing complaints, and seven suspicious circumstance calls.

As of Friday morning, the county jail held 96 inmates (88 for felonies and 8 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 113 inmates at various detention facilities. 116 clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 46 are on Personal Breath Test, 48 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, 13 are on GPS, and nine are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 218 clients.
