  • At 4:51 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Logan for a report of a possible physical altercation in progress.  Upon arrival, officer could hear a female yelling for help and were able to make contact with the occupants.  At the conclusion of the investigation, a 39-year-old Helena man was arrested for strangulation (felony).  He was booked into the LCSO jail. 
  • At 11:33 a.m. an officer responded to the Urgent Care for a report of a dog bite that occurred on the 300 block of South Montana Avenue.   
  • At 10:05 a.m. a school resource officer responded to the 1000 block of Rodney for a report of a disorderly juvenile.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the juvenile was cited for disorderly conduct and referred to Juvenile Probation.     
  • At 10:05 a.m. an officer responded to the 100 block of North Rodney for a report of a violation of a no-contact order.  The case is active. 
  • At 12:36 p.m. an officer was dispatched the 2700 block of Prospect for a report of a female shoplifter that fled the scene.  Suspect information was obtained and the case is active. 
  • At 12:41 p.m. an officer responded to the 1500 block of Concord for a report of fraud that occurred within the city limits.  The case is active. 
  • At 1:04 p.m. an officer responded to the 1700 block of Virginia Dale for a report of a theft of a check.  The case is active. 
  • At 3:22 p.m. an officer responded to the 900 block of Hialeah for a report of possible fraud.  The case is active.
  • At 3:30 p.m. an officer responded to the 400 block of Broadway for a report of a theft of personal checks.  The case is active.
  • At 4:20 p.m. an officer responded to the 2700 block of Prospect for a report of a shoplift that had occurred.  The suspect fled the scene and the case is active. 
  • At 5:32 p.m. an officer responded to the 1000 block of Redpoll Loop for a report of criminal mischief to property.  It was reported graffiti was spray painted at a residence.  There is possible suspect information and the case is active. 
  • At 7:53 p.m. an officer responded to the 1100 block of Hauser for a report of a family disturbance.  Nothing criminal was reported. 
  • At 8:04 p.m. an officer responded to the 1400 block of Elm Street for a report of a burglary that had occurred.  It was reported items were stolen from a garage.
  • At 8:42 p.m. an officer responded to the 3300 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of two separate cold thefts that had occurred.  The case is active. 
  • At 9:45 p.m. an officer responded to the 500 block of Logan for a report of a disorderly female.  No criminal charges were applicable. 
  • At 11:36 p.m. an officer responded to the 2100 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of a lost wallet.

As of Friday morning, the county jail held 90 inmates (82 for felonies and 8 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 113 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 33 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 26 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). 83 clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. We also have 6 testing out of county, 1 is pre-trial, 5 are GPS (Global Positioning System bracelet), and 12 are on house arrest.
