  • At 8:54 a.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief to a vehicle that occurred in the area of Lawrence and Jackson St.
  • At 10:10 a.m., an officer took a report of a possible fraud.
  • At 10:14 a.m., an officer took a report of a possible fraud involving a wire transfer.
  • At 11:09 a.m., an officer took a report of a person trying to cash a forged check. This occurred in the 3100 block of Sanders St. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 11:27 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft of tires that occurred in the 1800 block of Highland Street.
  • At 12:50 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a business located in the 400 block of North Last Chance Gulch. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 3:37 p.m., an officer was called to a business in the 2700 block of Prospect Avenue concerning a theft. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 5:31 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a bike that occurred in the 3000 block of North Montana Avenue.

June 13

  • At 12:49 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Benton and Leslie avenues. Investigation into the traffic stop led to a 16-year-old girl receiving citations for the following criminal offenses: possession of dangerous drugs (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia (pipe), MIP-alcohol, and MIP-tobacco. She was referred to Juvenile Probation and to Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 2:02 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of 7th Avenue and Warren Street. Investigation into the traffic stop led to a 30-year-old man being placed under arrest for DUI (first offense) and improper registration. He was booked into the LCSO Jail.

As of Wednesday morning, the county jail held 109 inmates (101 for felonies and eight for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 143 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 54 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 31 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). There are 98 clients serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. eight are on pre-trial, two are on GPS and 11 are on house arrest.
