  • At 11:15 a.m. an officer responded to the 1100 block of Le Grande Cannon for a report of a theft of mail. The case is active.
  • At 1:03 p.m. an officer responded to the 1000 block of Helena for a report of a theft that had occurred earlier. There is suspect information and the case is active.
  • At 2:29 p.m. an officer spoke with a complainant concerning a trespass to and a theft from a motor vehicle. The case is active.
  • At 4:20 p.m. an officer responded to the 200 block of Chaucer for a report of criminal mischief. The case is active.
  • At 6:21 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Cruse for a report of individuals breaking windows in a building. While on scene, the officers determined that a fire had also been started and the fire department responded. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 15-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest for burglary and criminal mischief. A 14-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest for arson, burglary and criminal mischief.

As of Wednesday morning, the county jail held 94 inmates (86 for felonies and eight for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 119 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 32 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 27 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). Eighty-three clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. We also have six testing out of county, one is pre-trial, five are GPS (Global Positioning System bracelet) and 12 are on house arrest.
