  • At 8:10 a.m., an officer took a report from a business located in the 2900 block of North Montana Avenue of possibly receiving a counterfeit bill. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 8:18 a.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief that occurred in the 1200 block of Lyndale Avenue.
  • At 9:27 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft of bicycle wheel that occurred in the 200 block of Jackson Street.
  • At 1:15 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a bike that occurred in the 1700 block of Waukesha Avenue.
  • At 2:17 p.m., an officer took a report of a found bike in the area of 9th Avenue and Davis Street.
  • At 2:20 p.m., an officer took a report of a found bike in the 400 block of 9th Avenue.
  • At 2:57 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a bike that occurred in the 100 block of South Last Chance Gulch.
  • At 4:53 p.m., an officer was called to a the 800 block of Colleen Street concerning a male at this location with a probation warrant for his arrest. The 29 year-old man was placed under arrest for the probation warrant.  He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At 5:31 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a business located in the 1000 block of Helena Avenue. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 6:08 p.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief that occurred in the 600 block of 2nd Street.
  • At 7:46 p.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief that occurred in the 1600 block of Cole Avenue.
  • At 7:52 p.m., an officer took a report of a found property from the 1500 block of Cole Avenue.
  • At 7:57 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a backpack that occurred in the 500 block of North Last Chance Gulch.
  • At 9:36 p.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of South Hannaford Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. The suspect left prior to the officer’s arrival and this case is still active.
  • At 11:25 p.m., an officer took a report of a theft from a business located in the 300 block of Euclid Avenue. Investigation into the theft led to a 17-year-old boy being issued citations for misdemeanor theft and MIP-alcohol. He was referred to Juvenile Probation and Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 11:36 p.m., an officer took a report of a criminal mischief that occurred in the 800 block of Getchell Street.

June 14

  • At 1:20 a.m., an officer took a report of a theft of a backpack that occurred in the 500 block of Logan Street.
  • At 4:04 a.m., an officer was called to a the 1800 block of Lyndale Avenue concerning a man at the location with outstanding warrants for his arrest.  Investigation into the matter led to a 24 year-old man being placed under arrest for five outstanding arrest warrants (three Helena District Court, one Helena Municipal Court, one Justice Court) and a felony charge for possession of burglary tools. He was booked into the LCSO Jail.

As of Thursday morning, the county jail held 101 inmates (96 for felonies and five for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 135 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 53 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 31 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). There are 97 clients serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program, eight are on pre-trial, two are on GPS and 11 are on house arrest.
