  • At 3 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a theft from a business. The case is active.
  • At 3:16 p.m., an officer responded to the 1400 block of Euclid Avenue for a report of counterfeit money. The case is active.
  • At 3:21 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of Prospect Avenue and Interstate 15 for a report of a driver pointing a handgun at another driver. All parties have been contacted and the case is active.
  • At 3:44 p.m., an officer responded to the 1300 block of Billings Avenue for a report of possible found drugs.
  • At 4:34 p.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of Fee Street for a report of fraudulent check activity.
  • At 7:03 p.m., an officer responded to the 10 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of a stolen phone.
  • At 6:50 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 3100 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a theft from a business.
  • At 10:48 p.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a female sleeping in a truck and had been there for some time. The officer located and identified the female. The female demonstrated signs of impairment and was tested for DUI. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 43-year-old Kalispell woman was arrested for DUI. She was booked into the LCSO jail.
  • At 11:26 p.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of 9th Avenue for a report of theft of belongings from a motor vehicle.

The Helena Police Department responded to 133 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to five vehicle crashes, 10 welfare Checks, two disturbance complaints and 10 suspicious circumstance calls.

As of Saturday morning, the county jail held 106 inmates (92 for felonies and 14 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 125 inmates at various detention facilities. There are 143 clients serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 58 are on PBT (Personal Breath Test), 57 are on SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet), 17 are on GPS and 11 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 199 clients.
