  • At 12:22 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1800 block of 11th Ave. Investigation into the stop led to the 48-year-old male driver being placed under arrest for four outstanding arrest warrants (three Justice Court, one Helena Municipal Court), Driving while driver's license is Revoked and No Insurance. He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At 12:49 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Broadway St. and Park Ave. Investigation into the stop led to the 29-year-old male driver from Missoula being placed under arrest for DUI (First Offense). He was booked into the LCSO Jail.
  • At 1:03 a.m., an officer was called to a business in the 300 block of Euclid Ave. concerning a theft. The male responsible for the theft had left the business prior to the officer's arrival. Officers located the male involved in the theft and cited a 35-year-old male for two counts of misdemeanor theft. He was cited and released.
  • At 3:32 a.m., an officer was following up with an investigation at a business in the 300 block of Euclid Ave. While at this business, the officer was advised of a cold theft that occurred earlier in the day. There is suspect information and this case is active.
  • At 9:27 a.m., an officer was called to investigate a motor vehicle theft that occurred in the area of Prospect Ave. and Hoback St. The stolen vehicle is a 1986 white and blue motor home with Montana license plate number 5-12102B. This case is active.

  • At 2:21 p.m., an officer was called to investigate a theft from a vehicle that occurred in the 200 block of State St.
  • At 3:14 p.m., an officer was called to the 1500 block of Poplar St. concerning a family disturbance. No arrests were made in the matter.
  • At 4:04 p.m., an officer was called to a business in the 3400 block of Highway 12 East concerning a theft.

  • At 7:48 p.m., an officer was called to a business in the 2700 block of Prospect Ave. concerning a possible physical altercation. Officers located and arrested a 45-year-old Helena male on two outstanding Municipal Court warrants. He was booked at the LCSO Jail.
  • At 9:29 p.m., an officer was called to investigate a possible order of protection violation. This case is active.
  • At 10:18 p.m., an officer was called to investigate a possible assault that occurred in the 1600 block of 11th Ave. This case is active.

Aug. 11

  • At 12:30 a.m., an officer was called to the 1700 block of Townsend Ave. concerning a possible disturbance. Investigation into the matter led to a 16-year-old male being issued citations for Possession of Dangerous Drugs (marijuana) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was referred to Juvenile Probation and released to a guardian.
  • At 12:42 a.m., an officer was called to investigate a theft in the 600 block of Euclid Ave. The victim reported their purse had been stolen from their vehicle.
  • At 7:53 a.m., an officer was called to a residence in the 800 block of 12th Ave. concerning a burglary to a garage.
  • At 7:54 a.m., an officer was called to investigate a theft from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Roberts St.

As of Saturday morning, the county jail held 106 inmates (94 for felonies and 12 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 126 inmates at various detention facilities.
