  • At 12:58 a.m., an officer was patrolling the area of 11th Avenue and Davis Street. He conducted a traffic stop due to a moving violation. The 29-year-old Helena woman driving the vehicle demonstrated signs of impairment. She was tested for DUI and ultimately arrested for DUI, aggravated DUI and improper turn. She was booked into the LCSO jail.
  • At 2:34 a.m., an officer was patrolling the area of Washington Street and Custer Avenue. He observed a vehicle in front of him veer into the oncoming traffic lane. The officer attempted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and proceeded north on the frontage road for several miles before stopping at a residence. The 24-year-old Helena man was detained and eventually tested for DUI. The man was arrested for DUI, eluding a police officer and driving on the wrong side of the road. He was booked into the LCSO jail.
  • At 10 a.m., an officer responded to the 500 block of Logan Street for a report of a female trespassing at that location. The female left prior to the officer's arrival, but her identity was confirmed. The case is active.
  • At 10 a.m, an officer responded to the 2200 block of North Benton Avenue for a report of a burglary to a residence.
  • At 11:39 a.m., an officer responded to the 500 block of Logan Street for a report of a theft of money. The case is active.
  • At 1:51 p.m., an officer was dispatched the 2400 block of Broadway for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. It was reported a window was broken out.
  • At 1:55 p.m., an officer was dispatched the 1100 block of Broadway for a report of a stolen vehicle. The suspect is known and the case is active.
  • At 3:37 p.m., an officer responded to the 3100 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a shoplift from a business. The juvenile male was identified and cited for theft. He was referred to juvenile probation.
  • At 3:44 p.m., an officer contacted a complainant in regards to a theft that occurred the previous night on the 10 block of North Last Chance Gulch. The case is active.
  • At 3:47 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a shoplift from a business. Surveillance footage was captured and the case is active.
  • At 4:33 p.m., an officer was dispatched to contact a complainant in regards to a family member acting suspicious. The male was located at another location in his vehicle. The 47-year-old Helena man was demonstrating signs of impairment. He was tested for DUI and ultimately arrested. He was booked into the LCSO jail.
  • At 6:32 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of Helena Avenue and Rodney Street for a report of a male and female in a verbal argument. The female's identity was learned, but the male provided false information about who he was. Once his identity was later ascertained, the 38-year-old Helena-area man was arrested for a valid warrant and obstructing a police officer. The 38-year-old Helena woman also was arrested for a valid warrant. Both were booked into the LCSO jail.

The Helena Police Department responded to 70 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to nine vehicle crashes, nine welfare checks, five disturbance calls, two disorderly calls, and four suspicious circumstance calls.

As of Monday morning, the county jail held 90 inmates (80 for felonies and 10 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 109 inmates at various detention facilities.
