  • At 12:46 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Euclid for a report of a shoplift from a business. The female suspect was located and ultimately cited for theft. The 38-year-old Helena woman was referred to Municipal Court. 
  • At 1:19 a.m., an officer responded to the 1600 block of Chestnut for a report of a young child being left home alone. It was determined the child was not alone, but there was a violation of a no contact order. A 23-year-old Helena woman was arrested for the violation and booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
  • At 7:52 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Highland for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. 
  • At 8:54 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Maple for a report of a burglary to a residence. The case is active.   
  • At 9:58 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Blain for a report of a theft of car parts. 
  • At 10:48 a.m., an officer was dispatched the 300 block of Broadway for a report of a theft from a construction site.
  • At 10:48 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Euclid for a report of fraudulent check activity. The case is active. 
  • At 1:40 p.m., an officer responded to the 3500 block of Centennial for a report of a theft from a construction site. 
  • At 2:06 p.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of Helena Avenue for a report of a male in the area with a valid arrest warrant. The 25-year-old Helena man was located and arrested.  He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center. 
  • At 2:21 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 10 block of South Ewing for a report of an assault that occurred. The suspect fled the scene, but was identified. The case is active. 
  • At 2:35 p.m., an officer responded to the 500 block of Logan for a report of a domestic disturbance. It was determined an assault occurred, but the suspect fled. The case is active. 
  • At 4:29 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Sanders for a report of a cold theft from a business. The case is active. 
  • At 4:31 p.m., an officer responded to the 700 block of Rhode Island for a report of a burglary to a residence.
  • At 6:37 p.m., an officer responded to the 10 block of North Rodney for a report of an assault that occurred. The suspect fled and the case is active.

  • At 7:33 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Cooke and Phoenix for a report of a crash. The male driver crashed into a parked vehicle. When the officer made contact with the driver, he demonstrated signs of impairment and was tested for DUI. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 18-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI, careless driving, stop sign violation, and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.    
  • At 8:23 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of North Rodney for a report of a theft of property from a business. The case is active. 
  • At 9:56 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of North Montana Avenue for a report of a vehicle high centered on a median. When the officer made contact with the driver, he demonstrated signs of impairment and was tested for DUI. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 38-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI and Aggravated DUI.  He was booked into the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.   

The Helena Police Department responded to 103 calls for service. Of those calls, they responded to five vehicle crashes, three welfare checks, four trespassing complaints, and 16 suspicious circumstance calls.

As of Friday morning, the county jail held 101 inmates (92 for felonies and nine for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 120 inmates at various detention facilities. 143 clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Of these, 58 are on Personal Breath Test, 57 are on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, 17 are on GPS, and 11 are on house arrest. Pretrial Services is currently working with 199 clients.
