A 39-year-old Helena man is accused of strangling his partner to the point that she thought she was going to die.
Shane Matthew Kroll is being charged with two counts of strangulation of a partner or family member.
Officers responded to a disturbance early in the morning on Feb. 1 in Helena. Kroll had allegedly strangled his partner after a verbal argument. The victim had a visible injury on her neck.
Kroll admitted to officers he had lost his temper and strangled his partner, and that he had almost strangled her to death, according to court documents.
The victim told officers Kroll had strangled her two times, once right before officers arrived and once the day before, according to court documents.
The victim believed Kroll was going to kill her, according to court documents.
