Police say they caught a wanted probationer with methamphetamine.
Skyler William Kelly of Helena is accused of trying to run from police, but he was caught about a half-mile away. Kelly had a no-bond warrant issued for his arrest on allegations he violated the conditions of his release. On Sunday, police received an anonymous tip that he was at a local residence, court documents state.
During a pat search, officers found the type of glass pipe typically used to smoke meth, the documents allege.
Kelly is jailed on the warrant along with new charges of felony possession of dangerous drugs and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a peace officer.
