Helena Police Department incidents reported Tuesday, Oct. 18

Oct. 17 

  • At 8:38 a.m., a school resource officer responded to the 800 block of Front Street for a report of an individual in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. At the conclusion of the investigation, an 18-year-old Helenan was cited for possession of dangerous drugs (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
  • At 10:16 a.m., an officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of North Rodney. At the conclusion of the investigation a 41-year-old Helena man was arrested for two outstanding arrest warrants.
  • At 10:18 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of Helena Avenue for a report of a window being shot out of a vehicle with a BB gun.
  • At 10:44 a.m., an officer investigated a theft of a wallet that occurred in the 600 block of Fee on Oct. 14. 
  • At 12:33 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of Eighth Avenue for a report of a window being shot out of a vehicle with a BB gun.
  • At 1:10 p.m., an officer responded to the 111 North Rodney, Probation and Parole, and arrested a 27-year-old Helena man for an outstanding warrant.
  • At 2:07 p.m., an officer responded to a report of a theft of tools from a vehicle in the 900 block of 10th Ave. 
  • At 3 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a suspicious male. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 24-year-old Helena man was arrested for two outstanding warrants. A search conducted in the jail located a dangerous drug, acetaminophen. He was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, a felony.
  • At 5:30 p.m., an officer responded to a reported shoplifting in the 2700 block of Prospect.  At the conclusion of the investigation a 24-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, both of Helena, were cited for theft and released. 

As of Tuesday morning, the county jail held 83 inmates (74 for felonies and nine for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 120 inmates at various detention facilities.
