Yearning for the old fashioned way of doing things? Come learn how to turn fat from your game harvest into homemade soap on Saturday, Jan. 19, in Anaconda.
Spend the morning with Fish, Wildlife & Parks wildlife biologist Vanna Boccadori learning how to field dress big game and harvest its fat, render the fat into tallow, then use the tallow to make homesteader’s soap.
Come prepared to get your hands dirty — then clean! This class is not for the squeamish. The cost is $25 and registration is required.
The class is limited to 12 participants and registrations must be mailed. See registration flyer for more details at http://fwp.mt.gov/education/bow/
