Helena is a government town. The Montana branches of government are all centralized in Helena. At least one-third of all workers in Helena are state workers.
But Helena, as the state capital of Montana, also has its share of federal agencies and institutions as well, including the Federal Reserve.
The Federal Reserve Building in Helena is located on Neill Avenue, just east of the Helena Civic Center. It was constructed between 1989 and 1992. It operates as the only branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, part of the 9th district of the Federal Reserve system.
These photos were taken during and shortly after the building's construction. Some of the subjects in these photos were unidentifiable. If you have any information that can help us identify the people in these photos, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
