Past employment: He most recently was an organizer for Operating Engineers Local 400. He previously worked in the union movement since 1986, including 17 years for the Montana AFL-CIO in various capacities and for several Laborers International Union of North America locals.
Political experience: He volunteered on Ted Schwinden’s successful campaign for governor in 1980. He worked on two unsuccessful Democratic campaigns against then-U.S. Rep. Ron Marlenee, R-Mont, serving as field coordinator for Howard Lyman’s campaign for the eastern district congressional seat in 1982 and managing Buck O’Brien’s campaign in 1986.
