Charlotte Ann Trainer passed away to be with the Lord on
March 10, 2021, with her loving sons at her side.

Char was born December 20, 1940, to Henry and Elizabeth Hoffman
in Helena. After attending Catholic school in Helena she married
Thomas Trainer and they began their family with son Thomas Jr. followed
by Ronald, Elizabeth (Betty) and David. Her home was open to everyone
and many neighborhood kids who would disappear or run away were
usually found at the Trainer home.
Char enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, going to the senior center to
play cards, and crafting. She especially looked forward to going through
the gate to her neighbor and best friend Sue’s for coffee each day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, and sister
Rita. Char’s beloved daughter, Betty, passed away three days after she
passed. She is survived by her three sons Thomas, Ronald and David
and 4 grandchildren; Megan, Sarah, Miranda (Jordan) and CharRae and
3 great grandchildren: Ryleigh and Dakota (Sarah) and Hudson (Miranda).
A double service will be held at St. Helena’s Cathedral on Thursday,
May 6, at 12:00 Noon followed by burial of ashes at Forestvale Cemetery.
A reception lunch will follow at the Staggering Ox.

Elizabeth

“Betty” Jean Trainer Hazel was born
October 24, 1961, and passed away March 13, 2021, from complications
of heart surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her daughter and best friend
LaLani by her side.
Betty was born in Helena Montana to Thomas and Charlotte Trainer and
graduated from Capital High. She moved to Dillon and married Alan Hazel
in Dillon in 1992. They had several losses but in 1997 they had their only
child CharRae. They later divorced. She worked as a waitress, bartender
and housekeeper. Her favorite job was running the “General Second
Store”. She loved gathering the secondhand merchandise and searching
for antiques.
Betty had a very loud unique laugh that you couldn’t forget and a smile
that was contagious. She liked to ride in the mountains and especially
enjoyed the Kelly Reservoir area in her jeep displaying her “IMBOOP”
plates. Her health had kept her closer to home the last few years with a
battle with cancer. She was extremely proud of the fact that her daughter
was to graduate from college this year and engaged with wedding plans
for next year.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother just 3 days before
her, grandparents, Aunt Rita and Uncle Tom, and brother-in-law
Joe Womack. She is survived by her daughter CharRae and future son in law
Bonner Applegate, brothers Thomas, Ronald, and David Trainer, nieces
and nephews Megan Trainer, Sarah and her children Ryleigh Robinson
and Dakota Pocha, Miranda Trainer and her child Hudson Wanner,
K’Leigh Harper and her son Lincoln Harper, Levi Payment, Jennifer Sill
and Dillon Womack.
A double service will be held at St. Helena’s Cathedral on Thursday,
May 6, at 12:00 Noon followed by burial of ashes at Forestvale Cemetery.
A reception lunch will follow at the Staggering Ox.
