The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Helena Branch (Bank) seeks a Service Technician for its Facilities Management Department (FM). The Service Technician will ensure the Bank’s facility and equipment continue to operate to ensure a safe, secure, and physically aesthetic and environmentally sound work environment for its employees, tenants, and guests.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position has primary day-to-day responsibility for maintenance of the facility and equipment at the Helena branch.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of demonstrated, progressive, and relevant experience in maintenance of facilities and commercial equipment. The candidate will also have a proven ability to think and act strategically and critically while interacting with a diverse group of employees, tenants, vendors, and contractors. They must have the ability to deliver customer-focused services, meet critical deadlines, mange ambiguity, work with various business units and tenants, and deal with difficult situations as routine. The ability to conduct oneself, at all times, with integrity, honesty, and respect for every employee is paramount.
This position is responsible for providing maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the following systems:
Two (2) boilers (hot water) and associated distribution system;
Two (2) chillers, associated distribution system, and computer room cooling units;
Two (2) cooling towers and associated distribution system, and water treatment monitoring;
Building Management System;
Life Safety System;
Fire Suppression System;
Electrical System, including generator;
Security Systems, including automated doors, security portals, vehicle barriers, x-ray machine;
Gun Range systems, including target retrieval and back-stop;
Forklift and pallet jack; and
Support the Bank and staff as necessary for maintenance, repair, renovation, relocation, and remodeling of office space, including furniture, painting, carpet replacement, and other building components/systems that impact the office environment.
Vocational school graduate degree preferred or equivalent experience in industrial controls, electricity, mechanical systems, hydraulics, programmable logic controllers, electronics, or related field. Certification as a boiler operator or refrigerant technician a plus.
Superior strategic planning skills and experience with an emphasis on innovation and automation. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to identify priorities, drive performance, and execute plans on schedule.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
