WHITEFISH — The 2018 Frontier Conference volleyball tournament will take place Friday and Saturday at the the HPER Complex on the Montana Tech campus in Butte.

No. 1 seed Rocky Mountain College (12-0, 27-3) earned a first round bye. Play opens at 2 p.m. Friday when No. 4 Lewis-Clark State (6-6, 17-8) takes on No. 5 Carroll College (6-6, 20-14)
. Then, at 5 p.m.
 No. 2 University of Providence (8-4, 19-9) plays No. 7 MSU-Northern (0-12, 1-23)
 and at 7 p.m. No. 3 Montana Tech (8-4, 16-14), the hosts of the tourney, face No. 6 MSU-Montana Western (2-10, 6-16).

On Saturday, top-seeded Rocky Mountain will face the lowest remaining seed at 11 a.m. in one semifinal. At 1 p.m., the other semifinal match features the two highest seeds remaining. The championship match is Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. The tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the 2018 NAIA national tournament beginning Nov. 17.
