MOSCOW, Idaho - Carroll College sophomore Jamie Greene ran a personal best time of 19 minutes, 28.47 seconds to finish 28 th in the women's competition at the Inland Nothwest Cross Country Challenge on Saturday.

Running the 5 kilometer course on the University of Idaho golf course, Greene was the only Carroll runner to finish in the top 30.

"Jamie Greene ran the race of her life today," Carroll coach Bill Ballinger said.

Shanna Burke was the second Carroll finisher in 19:46.54, finishing 34th. The hilly course offered a marked contrast to the flat terrain the team had run on in Billings the previous week.

"They all ran personal bests last week and she bettered that time on a more legitimate course."

Katie Fenton of Calgary won the women's race in a time of 17:55.73. Montana's Mary Ketteriung was sixth in 18:30.76.

Paced by Fenton, Calgary took the women's team title with 38 points. Carroll was sixth at 162 points.

On the men's side, Carroll finished 10 th among 12 teams with 280 points on the 8K course. Lewis-Clark State won the team competition with 67 points, barely edging Eastern Washington (70).

Caleb Dietz was the top Carroll finisher, in 26:30.74 and 50th place.
