HELENA — Gavin Cline and Kaden Lindberg scored in the shootout to lift the Helena Bighorns to a 6-5 win over the Gillette Wild Friday night at the Spirit Hall Ice Arena.

Cline had two goals and an assist for the Bighorns, including the last goal in regulation with just over seven minutes remaining to tie the game at 5-5 and send it to overtime. He now has nine goals on the season.

Nick Noel (6), Jarett Scheibel (6) and Ben Kottmeier (12) also scored for the Bighorns in the victory, which snapped a two-game losing streak.

Brooks Mitzel (17) had a hat trick for Gillette, scoring twice in the first period and one more time in the third period to give the Wild a short-lived 5-4 lead.

Nick Battaglia got the win for the Bighorns, making 24 saves on 29 shots, and making 3 of 4 saves in the shootout.

The Bighorns play the Wild again tonight in Gillette, with puck drop slated for 7 p.m.
