Derek Scoggins scored with 24 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Gillette Wild to a 2-1 victory over the Helena Bighorns Saturday at the Spirit Hall Ice Arena. It was the second straight night the teams played past regulation, as the Bighorns won 6-5 in a shootout Friday.

Jarett Scheibel scored three minutes into the game on a power-play goal assisted by Josh Smith to give the Bighorns an early 1-0 lead. It was Scheibel's seventh goal of the season. Gillette tied it up in midway through the second period on a goal from Brooks Mitzel.

Helena outshot Gillette 32-30. Cody Brewer stopped 28 of 30 shots for the Bighorns, while Cody Grogan made 31 of 32 saves for the Wild.

The Bighorns play a home-and-home with the Great Falls Americans this weekend. The teams play Friday in Helena at 7 p.m., and in Great Falls Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
