The Helena Bighorns cruised past Billings on the road Saturday, blasting the Bulls 8-2 in the Magic City.
Bradley Estrada and Adam Apangalook each scored a pair in the win, coming on the heels of a 3-1 loss in Bozeman on Friday night.
Valary Dietz got the scoring started just 60 seconds in for the Bighorns, putting home his second goal in as many nights. Billings tied it up with 4:59 to play in the first, but Estrada regained the lead for the Bighorns less than two minutes later. Billings tied it again early in the second – and again Estrada answered.
It was in the third, though, that Helena put the game away.
Apangalook scored just 1:29 in and again at 8:06, and John Heddle made it three goals in the frame. Ryatt Bayne added a fourth, and Nicholas Lindgren finished it out with 49 seconds to play, resulting in the final margin.
Nicholas Battaglia got the win in net, saving 38 of 40 shots.
