The NA3HL Showcase ended on Sunday, and the Helena Bighorns left Blaine, Minnesota without a win in three contests, falling to the Lockport Express, 7-1.

Blake Bennett led the way for the winners, recording a hat trick and adding an assist for the Express. Lakeport scored a pair of goals midway through the first period – tallies only 19 seconds apart – and added another with less than five minutes left before intermission.

The Express then scored three more in the second period before Adam Apangalook scored an unassisted power play goal at 18:09.

Any bit of momentum, though, was eliminated when Bennett scored his third goal of the game just 49 seconds later, resulting in the final margin.

Players will now get some time off, with the team not playing again until a road contest against Missoula on Dec. 30. The Bighorns play at home on New Year’s Eve, against the Glacier Nationals.
