A pair of third-period, power-play goals gave Bozeman a 3-1 win over the visiting Helena Bighorns on Saturday.

The Icedogs scored first in the contest, late in the first period, but Helena tied it up at 7:57 of the second with a goal from Valary Dietz, his first of the season. The tally, coming on the man advantage, was assisted by John Heddle and Kyle Hayter.

It was Helena in the box in the third, though. After just the one penalty called through two periods, Helena was whistled twice straight away in the third, for hooking and then tripping. One shot into the 5-on-3, Bozeman broke the tie.

Helena had a power-play opportunity several minutes later but was unable to convert, and then Bozeman tacked on a third goal when Jeremy Solko was sent to the box for slashing.
