The Capital High wrestling team placed sixth at the Great Falls Class AA Duals on Saturday, while Helena finished eighth.
Bozeman captured the 14-team tourney, beating Flathead in the chipper, 36-27.
Capital went 2-3 in the meet, beating C.M. Russell 49-15, losing to Billings Skyview 40-25, beating Butte 35-30, and then losing to Great Falls High 33-28 and Missoula Big Sky 39-36.
Helena was 1-3, beating West 46-27, before losing to Great Falls High 39-24, Big Sky 45-28 and Butte 39-32.
Capital moves to 13-7 in dual matches on the year, while HHS slips to 14-6.
Nick Kunz led the Bruins with a spotless 5-0 record at 120 pounds, posting a pin, a tech fall, two major decisions, and a forfeit. He improves to 28-1 on the year, with 12 pins.
Five CHS matmen lost only once, including Tyler Coddington (three pins, decision) at 113, Lee Lambrecht (two pins, major decision, decision) at 132, Travis Schulte (two pins, two major decisions) at 145, Shamus Bartmess (two pins, two decisions) at 170, Kory Broussard (four pins) at 182, and 205-pounder Seth Jensen (two pins, tech fall, forfeit).
The Bengals, who were competing without Bozeman Leprowse champion Isaac Romero, were paced by four unbeaten grapplers: Austin Murphy at 120 pounds, Noah Manibusan at 160, Hayden Schrull at 182/205, and JT Nygaard at 205/182, who all went 4-0.
Schrull grassed all four of his opponents, improving his season record to 28-1 on the year, with 18 staples. Manibusan stuck three opponents -- including one in just 22 seconds and another in 33 seconds -- and posted a tech fall, moving to 27-2 with 16 pins.
Nygaard achieved three pins and a major decision; while Murphy had a pin, major decision, decision and forfeit.
HHS wrestlers going 3-1 on the day were Devin Crawford (pin, decision, forfeit) at 132, and 170-pounder Joel Clark (three pins) at 170.
