The Townsend volleyball team dropped two matches in straight sets on Saturday, falling to Choteau 25-15, 25-17, 25-12, and to Fairfield 25-14, 25-15, 25-19.
The Bulldogs' leading spikers on the day were Tavia Rooney and Jessie Barnett, with 14 and seven kills, respectively. Rooney was also high with 15 digs and three blocks, while Mariah Norstrom was the assist-leader at 15 passes, in addition to firing five service aces.
"We showed more energy every game, mentally the girls made huge gains," coach Natalie Horne said. "Games and scores don't always reflect the progress being made."
