BOULDER -- The Jefferson High volleyball team placed runner-up at the inaugural Panthers Volleyball Invitational in Boulder on Saturday.

Joliet garnered the tourney championship with a 4-2 record. JHS and Three Forks tied with identical 3-3 marks, but the Panthers defeated TF in the tiebreaker for second place, 25-21, 25-22. The hosts also finished runner-up in the morning's pool play, to Florence. Joliet captured the other pool play crown.

Florence (2-4) wound up fourth overall.
