HELENA — Helena High football coach Tony Arntson is reportedly scheduled to interview for the head coaching job of the MSU-Northern Lights in Havre.
The Havre Daily News announced it on their Twitter account late Wednesday afternoon.
"Helena High's Tony Arntson will be in Havre Friday to interview/discuss the Lights head football job," the tweet read.
Arntson recently completed his 24th season at Helena, guiding the No. 3 Bengals to a State runner-up finish and a 9-3 record. It was his fourth AA second-place trophy, the first three coming in 1998, 2001 and 2010.
Arntson, who gridded for CM Russell and the University of Montana, owns a career record of 159-91 at HHS. He has not experienced a losing season since 2005, and over the past 12 years has directed the Bengals to a 104-36 mark, for a .742 winning percentage.
Arntson has also served as HHS's head track and field coach since 1998, at which he owns a pair of AA titles, in 2005 and 2015.
Arntson could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.
