The Capital High junior varsity football team ended its season on a five-game winning streak, finishing 10-2.
Capital’s last five games were wins over Billings West (twice) 52-6 and 47-26, Glacier 35-6, Billings Senior 36-20 and Missoula Sentinel 38-20. The Bruins outscored their opposition by an average of 41-16 points a game.
Leading the Bruins’ offense during the streak were quarterbacks Bridger Grovom and Cade Kidder, and running backs Cy Miller, Caden Sell, Thomas Penley, Noah Braden, Jacob Bartow, Kaidyn Craigle and Kaelan Casey.
Comprising the receiving corps were Dawson Ziegler, Garrett Little and tight end Braden Heller.
Doing the work in the trenches on the offensive line were Kaleb Metzger, Anthony Latka, Connor Stephenson, Jeremiah Wamsley, Kyler Buckley and Blaise Murphy.
The defensive line was anchored by Monte Pearson, Josh Lee, Jake Slagel and Blayne Ehlke. The linebacking corps consisted of Alex Barker, Arleigh Berner, Craigle, Zane McCormick, Kaelan Casey and Caleb Mundt.
Chaz Busnell, Isaac Stanger, Clint Inman, Daniel Carter, Anthony Guccione, Campbell Turner, Will Butler, Joseph Edwards made up CHS’s secondary.
