GREAT FALLS — Taylor Sullivan tossed in 13 points, while leading the Capital High girls basketball team to a 40-27 win over CM Russell on the road Thursday.

The Bruins took a narrow 10-8 lead after the opening stanza, and were in front by a slim three points at the half, 20-17. But then CHS won going away, outscoring the Rustlers 20-10 after the break.

Sydney Sheridan and Megan Lindbo chipped in six points apiece for the Bruins. Addison Gardner had 10 points for CMR.

"I was very proud of our effort and defense, CMR is a well-coached team and it's a tough place to play," CHS coach Bill Pilgeram said. "I thought we did almost everything well except putting the ball in the basket.

"We left a lot of points on the floor, but when our offense catches up to our defense great things are going to happen."
