But we will always play hard and give great effort."

Coach says: "We lost three very good seniors who are all currently playing college athletics. We are going to have to have some kids step up and replace their leadership in practice and in games. Our district will once again be very tough and will prepare us for tournament time."

Etc: Urick averaged 17.6 ppg, 6.1 rpg and 3.3 apg and spg on her way to her third consecutive all-state honors. ... Belt beat Arlee in last year's state championship game, and has won five of the last six Class C titles. ... Graham is 248-28 in his previous 10 seasons at Belt.

Centerville Miners

Head coach: Brian Davison

2016-17 record: 13-9

Coach says: "We lost our top six players from last season and the girls that returned did not get much varsity playing time. We are extremely young, with one senior and one junior and three sophomores starting with three freshman and one sophomore coming off of the bench."

Etc: Gannon is a returning all-state player. ... Pimperton begins her sixth season and is 75-39 overall. 

Turner Tornadoes

Coach says: "Our athleticism and experience will make us more of a threat this year on defense, and add to how we attack in transition. We have two extremely motivated senior leaders in Jackson Wade and Liam Germain, and a very talented point guard in Kolya Bough. I would say that the most exciting thing about this team is the fact that we are all a threat to score, and everybody has the green light to shoot the ball."

Etc: This is Barth's first year as head coach of the program.

Etc: Twin Bridges defeated Froid-Lake in last year's third-place game at the Class C state tournament. ... Oliverson, who has signed with the University of Nevada, and Bendon were all-state players a year ago. ... Keller has a career record of 80-19. 

District 13C

Coach says: "We are getting back a lot of varsity experience after not losing anyone from last year’s team. We also are getting back two different players who both had starting roles and were lost throughout the season to injury."

Etc: Huenik and Kinzie were starters last season until injuries shut down their seasons. That moved Josephson and Loberg into the starting lineup.
