GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls High boys basketball team rallied back from a 24-21 halftime deficit to defeat Helena Capital 50-40 in a Class AA nonconference game on Tuesday night.
The Bison put four players in double figures, led by Blake Thelen's 13 points. Next came Kendall Kynett with 12, followed by Hunter McKinney and Kevin Boes at 11 points each.
Great Falls took a 17-12 lead after the first quarter before the Bruins outscored the hosts 12-4 in the second period. The Bison then took home the win by compiling a 29-16 scoring advantage over Capital after the intermission.
Matt McGinely was the high scorer for the Bruins with seven points, while Parker Johnston, Michael Nettleton and Mark Northey tallied six points each.
