On May 6, the Tri-County Vigilantes football team rallied back from a 27-0 deficit and pulled off a triple-overtime victory over the visiting Billings Xtreme, 42-34. It was TriCounty's fifth win of the season.
The eventual game-winning score came when Alex Brunett connected on a 14-yard scoring strike to Jake Nelson to give the Vigilantes their first lead, 40-34. Brunett then connected with Nick Alamia for the 2-point conversion.
Brunett ran for 31 yards on eight carries and a touchdown in addition to completing 10 of 17 passes for 134 yards and three TDs. Kevin Carter carried 15 times for 92 yards and two TDs, while Nelson caught four passes for 87 yards and a pair of scores.
Defensively, the Vigilantes were led by defensive back Josh Elder, linebacker Brett Hall and lineman Josh Wallis, each with five tackles apiece. Raymond Haberman and Eddie Franke both had a sack.
