CALGARY, Alberta, Canada — Tyler Hall scored 15 points on 4 for 5 three-point shooting, and Montana State beat Calgary 91-71 in the first of four men's basketball contests in Canada this weekend.
The Bobcats closed the game on a 17-2 run, outrebounding the Dinos 56-35. MSU snagged 16 offensive boards.
“I thought that was a depth issue,” said MSU coach Brian Fish. “We kept rotating guys, and nobody played too many minutes. I thought we played hard, but in the fourth quarter we were still fresh. I liked the way we closed the game.”
Montana State returns to the court again Friday night, facing the University of Alberta at 7 p.m. in Calgary.
