Montana Western guard Brianna King earned her third Frontier Conference Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.
King helped Western go 2-0 on the week, including wins over No. 10 Carroll College (59-43) and No. 18 Rocky Mountain College (64-57). In those games, King, a 5-5 junior from Spokane, averaged 22.5 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals.
Western reinserted itself into the thick of the Frontier with the wins and made a case for its return to the Top 25 after being dismissed a week prior.
Coaches also nominated Rocky Mountain forward Markaela Francis, Montana State-Northern guard Brandy Lambourne, University of Providence guard Stephanie McDonagh and Montana Tech forward Hannah Sparks.
