An up-and-down week was good enough for Montana Western forward Brandon Jones to earn the Frontier Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.

Jones, a junior from Houston, Texas, helped the Bulldogs go 1-1 last week, with a loss to No. 19 Lewis-Clark State College, 101-96 in double overtime, and a win over Montana Tech, 75-71.

In those contests, Jones averaged 20 points, 15 rebounds and a block.

Jones becomes the third Bulldogs player to earn the award. Guard Dom Robinson and forward Zaccheus Darko-Kelly also earned the nod.

Western takes on Montana State-Northern and University of Providence this week.

Coaches also nominated Cory Dollarhide of Lewis-Clark State, Ryan Imhoff of Carroll College, Jake Miles of Montana Tech, Ryan Reeves of MSU-Northern and Jared Samuelson of Rocky Mountain College.
