Jed Fike and Derrick Holt combined for 36 points in last Saturday’s 93-19 win over MSU-Northern and were recognized for their efforts by the Frontier Conference.

Fike also drew notice from the NAIA.

Fike was picked as the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, two days after running for 247 yards on 12 carries in the win. He also scored on touchdown runs of 37, 7, 52 and 68 yards.

His 20-yards-per-carry average from Saturday was also felt in the offices of the NAIA, where the organization picked him as the Player of the Week.

The transfer from Dickinson State accounted for 281 yards in Saturday's contest (he had one catch for 34 yards), helping the Orediggers set an NAIA record with 932 yards.

The previous record of 914 yards was set by Lenoir-Rhyne (N.C.) in 1975.

Fike joins teammate and quarterback Quinn McQueary, who has been picked as the National Player of the Week by the NAIA twice this season.

Holt was equally as busy for the Orediggers, going 9 for 9 on PATs and adding a 33-yard field goal. All of his points came in the first half.
