Carroll College freshman catcher Tianna Sell was named NAIA National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Second-Team announced by the NFCA on Monday.
Sell tallied 29 RBIs on 42 hits, including 10 doubles, two triples and four home runs. She had a .654 slugging percentage and a .420 on base percentage while batting .404 on the season.
She had a .978 fielding percentage and recorded just three errors on the season.
"Being named NFCA All region is a well-deserved honor for Tianna," coach Aaron Jackson said. "As a freshman, she demonstrated her ability to lead from the catcher position and at the plate. Being named one of the best in the west region is a great honor."
The Carroll softball team, in just the second season of existence, won the Cascade Conference East Division and earned a 24-20 season record before falling in the Cascade Tournament.
