La GRANDE, Ore. – Carroll College freshman pitcher Allison Williams was named the Cascade Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week after notching two wins and 10 shutout innings in the circle to lead the Saints to a 4-0 sweep of Northwest Christian last weekend in Helena.

Williams struck out eight while walking just two and allowed just four hits in 10 innings. She picked up six strikeouts in a 1-0 complete game win Friday. Saturday, she came in relief in the fifth inning and struck out two in three innings of work while allowing just one hit to lead the Saints to a 5-4 come-from-behind win.

Williams is now 4-0 on the year with a 1.40 ERA overall.

Anna ApRoberts received an Honorable Mention Player of the Week nod after notching a .455 batting average, five hits, and four RBIs.
