BOZEMAN — Montana State’s Tyler Hall is one of 40 players nationally named to the 2017-18 Lute Olson national player of the year award watch list.

Hall, from Rock Island, Illinois, has scored 1,317 career points in his two seasons at Montana State, and is the school’s single-season scoring and 3-point record-holder. He was recently named the Big Sky Conference preseason MVP and is on the 2017-18 Julius Erving Award watch list, an honor given annually to the nation’s top small forward.

The Lute Olson Award winner will be named March 31 at the CollegeInsider.com Awards Event in San Antonio, Texas. The award is named in honor of Olson, who won 780 games during a 34-season coaching career that included stops at Long Beach State, Iowa and Arizona.
