BOZEMAN — The men’s and women’s basketball teams from Montana State will play their first games of the season on Wednesday at Worthington Arena.

Both games are exhibition contests against Frontier Conference teams. The MSU women will tip off at 6 p.m. against Montana Tech, and the Bobcat men will follow at 8 p.m. against MSU-Northern.

The Montana State women won both the Big Sky Conference regular season and postseason titles last season. The Bobcats return senior guards Hannah Caudill and Delany Junkermier from a 25-7 team that played in the NCAA tournament.

MSU’s men went 16-16 last season and lost to Southern Utah in the first round of the Big Sky tournament. The Bobcats bring back All-Big Sky guard Tyler Hall and the league’s freshman of the year, point guard Harald Frey.
