The Helena Brewers were three outs away from recording their first win of the season on Thursday in Great Falls.

Those pesky Voyagers got in the way again.

Great Falls (4-0) put up a run in the bottom of the ninth and added one more in the 10th and pulled out a 2-1 win over the Brewers (0-4).

Shortstop Antonio Pinero gave the Brewers a lead in the top of the second when he hit a grounder to left field, scoring Charlie Meyer.

It looked like one run may have been enough, until the ninth inning.

Craig Dedelow hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Tate Blackman and tying the game.

Blackman would be the hero in the 10th inning. He hit an RBI single to right field to end the game and give the Voyagers their fourth consecutive win over the Brewers to begin the season.

Brewers right hander Michael Peterson got the start on the mound, throwing six innings while giving up two hits, four walks and striking out six. The 6-foot-7 hurler out of Middlesex, United Kingdom, showed the best outing by a Brewers pitcher on the mound so far this season.

Rodrigo Benoit (0-2) was credited with the loss, as he pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up the game-losing run.

The Voyagers used Adam Panayotovich to open the game on Thursday. He threw for six innings, surrendering three hits, one earned run, a walk while striking out five.
